Double the uncapped ADSL, same low price

For most South Africans, choosing an Internet connection is about finding the perfect balance between performance, data consumption and price.

And even though fibre-to- the-home (and small business) continues to be one of the most talked about topics in chatrooms, forums and technology-savvy media, ADSL – and particularly, uncapped ADSL – continues to offer worthwhile value for money to the vast majority of users.

It’s a trend that’s been helped a great deal by the high speeds (and let’s face it, speeds that rival fibre) available on ADSL today, not to mention a number of aggressive specials being run at the moment.

Delonet’s ‘two concurrent uncapped ADSL connections for the price of one’ deal is real gem of an example in this regard. Explained simply, this deal allows users to connect two homes or business locations to Delonet’s ADSL network at the same time, without having to share the connection speed or pay for two separate connections.

So in essence, if a user has a 4Mbps uncapped account with Delonet, they’re able to give another 4Mbps of uncapped ADSL connectivity to a loved one or friend, or connect two of their business locations to the network for the price of one connection.

While price and connection speed isn’t affected, Delonet does require that the total data consumption for both lines fit into their fair usage policy (FUP).

But looking at what’s inside that FUP, they really shouldn’t face too much of a hassle keeping under the recommended limit.

For example, two concurrent 1Mbps connections can consume a total of 265GB of data in a month before shaping is implemented, while two concurrent 2Mbps connections may not use more than 530GB of data per month before the same measure applies.

The data allowance catered for in the FUP doubles each time the speed doubles.

That means two 4Mbps connections have a 1TB allowance and so forth, right up to two 100Mbps connections that are limited to 26TB of data per month.

For full details on the special, head over to Delonet’s website.
