Most of us know of prominent local names and companies mentioned in the Panama Papers scandal, but you may be surprised to find out how close some of them are located to you.
Cape Town-based consulting company, Eighty20, mapped the South African addresses featured in the scandalous leaks.
“At Eighty20 we like to push the boundaries, particularly when it comes to finding the value in data. We saw the value in the Panama Papers data and wanted to bring it to life for others,” Eighty20 told htxt.africa.
“We have taken the publicly available Panama Papers data and visualised it to show the South African addresses mentioned in largest data leak in history. By way of example, our app shows that there are 11 addresses mentioned in the Panama Papers within 2km of Highlands North [where htxt.africa offices are located],” it said.
All you have to do is type in your home or work address and the map will pull results for all addresses within either 2km, 5km or 10km of your location.
