Where to find your IEC voting station’s address online or via mobile

Registered voters who’ll be voting in next month’s Municipal Elections and need to know their station’s address can now find it online or using a mobile phone.

The IEC has published a list of all 22 612 voting stations where you can go to on 3rd August, as well as the details of where its 31 mobile voting stations will be travelling to and at what time.

To look the address up, you can use either of the following resources:

Online

Visit the IEC’s wesbite and click on voting stations’ address list page. Here you’ll find a list of all the provinces.

Clicking on your respective province will automatically download the tabled list file that’ll tell you the Municipality, ward number, voting district, voting station name, GPS coordinates and physical address.

Mobile

Dial *120*432# and follow the prompts or SMS your ID number to 32810 (at a cost of R1 per SMS).

You can also call IEC contact centre on 0800 11 8000 between 7am and 9pm on weekdays.

The location of a voting station can be changed at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, according to the IEC, so it’s also best to look the address up a day or two before the day of election.
