You can now print a full size power armour helmet from Fallout 4

We have the perfect addition to the 3D printed guns from Fallout 4 we wrote about recently: a 3D printed power armour helmet.

Created by Daniel Lilygreen and posted on the curated 3D design sharing platform, MyMiniFactory, it is based on the X-01 power armour.

This design is made up of 37 separate, smaller prints which need to be assembled, so it’s not going to come off of the heatbed already finished.

You can obtains this for free right here, right now, but Lilygreen is promising a list of materials and an exploded diagram to come soon. That should make the process of creating one of these helmets easier, but they’re not available yet.

If you’re playing Fallout 4 and actually want to don this suit, here’s a handy video showing you where and how to get it.

If you want more great 3D prints, we have to give MyMiniFactory another mention because it’s fast becoming our go-to for great prints. While it may not have the staggering amount of content that Thingiverse boasts, its featured prints and events (such as the Pokémon GO design contest) make it really compelling.

Lilygreen hasn’t mentioned any plans to make a full suit, but we can cross our fingers.
