If you’re one of the many, many folk who are waiting with baited breath for the next Star Wars movie, Rouge One, we have some good news. A brand new trailer has just dropped.

Officially titled Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it takes place between the newer Revenge of the Sith and (the original) A New Hope, and details the lead-up of the Rebel Alliance’s plans to destroy the Death Star. Well, they need to steal the construction plans first…

If you are at all a fan of the franchise, you simply just have to watch the trailer – and do so until the end.

So we’ll shut up now…

From the official description, the plot revolves around “a group of unlikely heroes [who] band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.” Watch the trailer to the end and you’ll spot a familiar figure…

The film is due to hit cinemas in December and stars Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, and Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic. Good to know the nonsensical naming conventions for Star Wars characters remains  in play.
