Sony has announced that the PS4 Pro – you know, that little 4K-supporting console it unveiled in New York earlier this year* – lands on South Africa’s shores on 7th December.

The PS4 Pro comes with an RRP of R6 999,99. If you’re a Sony early adapter, don’t fret because you can play every PS4 game you own on the PS4 Pro once you hook it up.

Furthermore, the likes of Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare, The Last Of Us: Remastered, Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End have apparently been updated “to take advantage of PS4 Pro’s increased power”, according to Sony. So some games on your shelves may look all the more prettier on the PS4 Pro.

You want specs, right? Of course you do!

“Ever since the announcement of the PlayStation 4 Pro we have been overwhelmed by the demand from gamers and it’s with much excitement to get this to them before Christmas, another leap in the world of  PlayStation,” said Mario Dos Santos C.E.O. of Ster Kinekor Entertainment.

We hope all those player who have been ‘overwhelming’ Sony and Ster Kinekor have been saving up, because R7K is a hefty price tag in anyone’s language. Furthermore, the launch of the PS4 Pro comes a month or so before the PS VR headset launches in South Africa and if you’ve been following the developments on that you’ll know it’s price at R6 499.99. If you want a bundle that includes a camera, you’re looking at R7 299.99 – yes, more than a brand new PS4 Pro.

We have to ask: if you have the money for all of the above, why aren’t you investing in property?
