Watch the Rugby World Cup 2023 host announcement online

The host of the Rugby World Cup 2023 is set to be announced today and as luck would have it the announcement will take place at 15:00.

That means that if you’re reading this from your desk at work it’s likely that you’ll still be at your desk when the announcement comes down.

Thankfully you can stream the proceedings through YouTube later today. We’ve embedded the stream below but you can also click this link to access the stream directly.

The countries bidding for the honour of hosting the Rugby World Cup 2023 are France, Ireland and South Africa. All three countries have hosted a Rugby World Cup in the past.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is a big one. Not only is it the tenth World Cup but 2023 is supposedly the 200th anniversary of the invention of the sport. That invention involved William Web Ellis catching a ball during a game of football and running with it.
