DStv Now now available on Telkom LIT TV

Telkom has announced that customers using its LIT service will now be able to access DStv Now through the LIT TV boxes.

To be clear this is only through the LIT TV Box. We’ve asked Telkom if users without the set-top box will be able to enjoy DStv Now for free through their smartphone but are still waiting for a response.

The DStv Now that should be arriving on LIT TV Boxes via an update – has been designed for “large screen viewing”.

“We brought you Telkom LIT in September and pledged to constantly enhance the service,” chief executive officer of Telkom’s Consumer arm, Attila Vitai said in a statement.

“Our partnership with MultiChoice cements our commitment to this, especially with access to DStv Now being added to our service. We are working with MultiChoice on future initiatives and believe that our partnership will be hugely beneficial for all our customers,” Vitai added.

Telkom LIT zero rates content from Showmax, Netflix, YouTube, Apple Music, Simfy Africa, Google Play Music and more.

Users on Telkom’s FreeMe 2GB, 5GB, 10GB and 20GB packages get access to LIT Music and those on the 5GB, 10GB and 20GB packages receive access to LIT Video.

The LIT TV Box is available for R1 099 once-off or R49.99 per month. Customers on Telkom’s Unlimited Home 8/10Mbps ADSL and Fibre offering get a free LIT set top box.
