Enter the Gungeon now has an eShop page

If you, like us, have been patiently waiting to buy Enter the Gungeon on the Switch, well, we’re one step closer.

The roguelite bullet hell from last year that we loved so much finally has an official page on the Nintendo eShop. This comes with good news about the pricing which has stuck at $14.99.

Even better for us in South Africa, as the local price is R159. Not only is this less than the straight conversion (which is ~R204 at the time of writing) but it’s also the exact same amount as the regional price on Steam.

This really is something you can’t take for granted, as games like Battle Chef Brigade are twice the price on the Switch, when compared to Steam.

This news comes after the long-awaited announcement of the release dates for this port: 14th December for the Americas, 18th December for Europe and 21st December for Japan.

At this point we’d usually say that South Africa falls into the Europe category, there’s no real need. The Switch is region free so you can slide into any of those slots by changing the region of your account.

Enter the Gungeon isn’t for everyone due to its difficulty and lack of communication in certain areas, but it really is a fantastic game. Check out our review and comparison to its closest rival, The Binding of Isaac.

Our only fears for this port are performance issues and control problems, but we’ll let you know how it is as soon as we’ve played it.
