Outlast is now on the Nintendo Switch

If you own a Nintendo Switch and you feel you haven’t had enough trauma in your life this year, Nintendo has you covered.

Outlast, one of the most frightening games of all time – fact! – is now available for you to buy and download from Nintendo’s online shop. What’s more it comes as a bundle (the Outlast Bundle Of Terror to be exact) which includes the base game and the DLC prequel Whistleblower.

If that doesn’t make you rather excited, we’re sure the price will – all this gory horror goodness is available for the comparatively low price of R300.

If you have never played Red Barrels’s survival horror, it follows the (mis)fortunes of journalist Miles Upshur, who, after receiving a tip that nefarious happenings are afoot at the Mount Massive Asylum, decides to hop in his car with a camera and head up to the asylum to investigate. It turns out to be arguably the biggest mistake of his life.

Outlast is as good as survival horror gets. With its creepy atmosphere and haunting environments, the game packs enough jump scares to make your heart pound and your nerve-endings burn. It’s so good, last year’s excellent Resident Evil 7: Biohazard took a few notes from its playbook.

Trust us when we tell you, you’ll need some iron in your blood once you boot this baby up.
