Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition returns with a new trailer

After a disappointing launch in December of 2016, Space Hulk: Deathwing has been ramping up to for its Enhanced Version, which is to be a free update for PC and the standard version for console.

After not hearing much about it for a few months, we finally have a new trailer (embedded below) which shows off all the additions, including a new class, enemies, weapons, powers and game modes.

While it doesn’t make for the best thing to mention in the trailer, we really hope the devs have been working hard on optimisation, because the game was buggy and ran terribly when we played at launch.

The end card of the trailer reveals two interesting things: a 22nd May 2018 release date, and the absence of the Xbox One version.

PC and PlayStation 4 players will be able to play in May, but no mention is made of Microsoft’s console. The official site for Space Hulk: Deathwing is also curiously missing any mention of Xbox.

Our best guess is that they’re focusing on these two platforms with Xbox coming later. This is supported by the fact that the listing for the game on the Xbox store shows a 31st December 2018 release. We’ll dig around and update if something else is going on.
