See inside of a Fallout mini nuke with this 3D print

We’ve featured a lot of 3D printed weaponry from Fallout 4 and the rest of the series in the past which have all been detailed, but none of them like this.

This cutaway model of the mini nuke was created by Ivan Goryaschenko after he saw a similar project and wanted to make his own.

Modelling and printing time took around four weeks in total, with one of the main aims being easy assembly and disassembly. While that’s great for exploded shots like the one in the gallery below, it’s also handy for adding electronics.

This prop is primed for light and sound to be added to it soon, and you can see a sneak peak video of it in action. We hope that distinctive whistling sound is added, maybe set off by a motion sensor so anyone picking the print up gets a real fright.

Once printed, model acrylic paints were used. We were told that this was a first attempt at this kind of painting project, but it came out great.

If you’d like to make your own the files are free to download from Thingiverse. This finished version is only 13 centimetres tall due to printer limitations, so we hope someone maskes some bigger versions in the future.
