Tickets for Fantasy Fayre are now on sale

Calling all fans of fantasy, sword & sorcery and magical beasts: tickets for Fantasy Fayre: The Bestiary 2018 are now available.

Apparently, last year’s gathering was such an overwhelming success, this year’s event was pretty much always on the cards.

Organised by Alter Egos, the same people behind this year’s A Viking Thing and last year’s Discworld Day, Fantasy Fayre: The Bestiary will take place on 2nd June between 10:00 and 18:00 at the La Vue Guest Lodge in Muldersdrift.

Tickets can be purchased over on Quicket; tickets for adults are R70 online and R90 on the day. Children under 12 and pets can enter free of charge. Parking is R10 on the day.

So what do you get for your money? Well, according to the event’s Facebook page there’s a ton of activities on offer and goods to buy.

There will be all manner of fantasy themed market stalls and merriment: play a Game of Kubb (Viking Chess), have a go at archery or sample Eoin’s Tankard mead while you watch weapons forging; or try your hand at the Axe Toss! Meet and have your photo taken with the beautiful birds of prey from Feathers and Scales. Wander through the market to the sounds of the bards and the clash of steel on steel as the JuggerKnights spar. Handmade jewellery, dragons, ceramics, art, clothing, craft beer and delicious food and more is on sale at the stalls.

Incidentally, if you fancy selling your wares at one of the event’s stalls, you can book one from R300 to R700. The event is being run in support of the Husky Romi Wolf Sanctuary, so that ups the feel-good factor too.
