World Of Warcraft expansion Battle For Azeroth has a release date

World Of Warcraft is set to see its seventh expansion this year – yes, you read that right, seventh – in the form of Battle For Azeroth.

Announced last year at BlizzCon 2017, the new expansion will raise the level cap for characters from 110 to 120, introduce two new continents and contain a ton of quests, raids and other wonderful stuff players have come to expect every time Blizzard rolls out an expansion.

Today, Blizzard has seen fit to announce the release date for Battle Of Azeroth; the new expansion drops 14th August this year.

Naturally, Blizzard is offering a Collector’s Edition of the game, which will come with a copy of the soundtrack, a Horde/Alliance double-sided medallion and a hardcover novella. On top of that, there will also be a bunch of in-game goodies available, including  including a Seabraid Stallion (Alliance) mount, a Gilded Ravasaur (Horde) mount, and Tottle the Baby Tortollan pet for WoW.

On top of that, you’ll also get an “Azeroth Is Burning” card back for Hearthstone, a Primal Flamesaber mount for Heroes Of The Storm, Horde and Alliance decals for Starcraft II and faction themed extras for Overwatch.

All of the in-game items, incidentally, are available in the Digital Deluxe version, should you have nod wish to clutter your house with physical products.

The Collector’s Edition is currently being priced at $89.99 and the Digital Deluxe version is $52.99. As soon as we have local pricing – and we totally don’t expect these versions to come in at a one-to-one conversion – you will too.

In the meantime, start saving that gold.
