New MSI gaming notebooks equipped with 8th Gen Intel tech

The 8th generation of Intel processors are finally finding their way on to notebooks and MSI has detailed which of its latest products will sport the chips.

The big talking point in the line-up is the GT75VR Titan which features an unlocked 8th Generation Intel Core i9 processor. That can be paired with either a single Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or GTX 1080.

For those that need more grunt the GT75 Titan can also be configured with dual GTX 1070 cards in SLI.

Regarding performance MSI says that users can expect a 70 percent performance boost when using the Core i9 compared to a Core i7 from the previous generation.

“The extra cores are especially beneficial for gamers who stream their gameplay, or for advanced multitasking workloads,” says MSI.

You also get a mechanical keyboard thanks to MSI’s partnership with SteelSeries.

The GS series is also getting a refresh which is great news because we fell in love with the older GS63VR Stealth.

Not much has changed, the notebook is still thinner than a Macbook Pro and it packs a lot more tech.

Inside the GS65 Stealth Thin is an Intel 8th generation processor running on a HM370 chipset. The notebook can be configured with an Nvidia GTX 1060 or a GTX 1070 which uses the Max-Q design that keeps heat down while keeping performance levels up.

The firm will also be releasing the GT83 Titan, GT63 Titan, GE63 Raider RGB and the GE73 Raider RGB notebooks later this month all of which sport Intel’s latest tech.
