We get a new look at the charming metroidvania Feudal Alloy

A few days ago we somehow missed the new teaser trailer for the upcoming game Feudal Alloy.

As the name suggests this is a weird combination of robots and tech in a medieval setting. Your player character is a mechanical body seemingly piloted by a fish.

The great art style is apparently hand drawn and there’s a lot of interesting combat promised with “swords, grenades, dodges and other special attack moves”.

As great as this game looks it’s going to need to do a lot right to win people over in the crowded metroidvania genre. On the Switch alone A Robot Named Fight came out recently and Hollow Knight is still looming on the horizon.

We’re suckers for robots, however, and the loot and customisation options on offer here may give it the advantage it needs. It looks like it also has much deeper RPG mechanics compared to its competition.

Feudal Alloy has a Q3 2018 release date right now, and it will be heading to the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Developer Attu Games has even shared an image of the game running on the Switch.

The game has a Steam page if you’d like to wishlist it there, but there’s no price available just yet.
