Former ANC MP Makhosi Khoza joins Outa

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) has announced that former ANC member of parliament Dr. Makhosi Khosa will soon head up its Local Government Programme.

The announcement also brings with it the launch of Outa’s Local Government programme which Khosa says will see her address maladministration and corruption.

“It just makes more sense to make a difference in South Africa by empowering citizens on grassroots level and addressing maladministration and corruption in municipalities, free from politics,” Khosa said in a statement.

Outa’s newest member joins the organisation after leaving the ANC last year. Khosa faced disciplinary action after criticising former president Jacob Zuma.

Chief executive officer at Outa, Wayne Duvenage commended Khoza in a statement.

“Dr Khoza needs very little introduction, as she has stood out as an ardent champion and fighter of corruption and maladministration within Government. At the risk of her own safety, Dr Khoza has become an icon for truth, justice and good governance within Government. She is bold, courageous and comes with a history and experience that suits this role within OUTA,” Duvenage says.

Khosa will join Outa as an executive director and head up the Local Government Programme effective 1st June.
