In 2017 Australian animator Felix Colgrave impressed the world with his ten-minute masterpiece called Double King, and today he’s uploaded something new.
This new video, titled Dry Run, is much shorter at around three minutes but still as entertaining as everything Colgrave puts out.
Going off of details from his site, Dry Run was apparently made for Adult Swim’s Off The Air series, but is now available on YouTube for everyone to watch.
The strange creature featured in the animation is a Trolval – or Trolual – which is a mythical sea monster used on old maps to indicate an uncharted piece of water that is potentially dangerous.
If Double King and Dry Run are your first introductions to Colgrave’s work, we highly suggest watching Tainted Goods as well as The Pigpen.
Just a warning before you hit play, however, some of these works can be disturbing with The Pigpen being the most egregious. If you’re easily upset we suggest giving that one a miss.
