Not at rAge 2018? Here’s the cosplay you’re missing

rAge has come around once again and one of biggest draws as ever is the South African cosplay community who is out in force.

The quality and quantity that we saw on this first day really blew us away, especially as rAge was a scant two weeks after the very first Comic Con Africa, that also had a huge contingent of cosplayers.

Keep in mind that all of this is from the very first hours of the first day of rAge, and we fully expect more impressive costumes as the weekend goes on.

If you aren’t already attending, rAge runs until Sunday. Day tickets go for R150 per day and we recommend coming past even if you have a bit of con fatigue after so many events this year.

Those attending should make sure to come by on the Sunday if they’re interested in cosplay. At 4PM local time there will be a parade on the main stage together with a prize giving for the best showings.

You can find details for it and the rest of the events in the official schedule.

Check Hypertext later today for more coverage of this year’s attractions. We’ll hopefully be showcasing some games, both those made abroad and those made locally.
