A week after Hitman 2 launches, players will be able to undertake an elusive target mission to assassinate Sean Bean. Yes really.

Playing off of the long-running joke that Bean’s characters are always killed off, developers IO Interactive will add him into the game as “Mark Faba”.

We’re not sure exactly what this new character will do, but he looks to be a rival hitman with a knack for improvised weaponry.

Hitman 2 launches on 13th November, and the elusive target mission will start from 20th November. Players will have 10 days to complete the mission, called “The Undying”.

Aside from playing the game when it’s out and attempting to kill Bean, this video also gives viewers the chance to vote on unlocking a special weapon in the game.

If you go to the official site you can leave your choice of the three weapons shown in the trailer: a flash grenade that looks like a toy robot, an earphone garrote or an exploding pen.

Voting on either of these will reveal a new trailer where Bean will explain what the weapon does. These videos are unlisted on the Warner Bros. YouTube channel, so we’ve linked them above for easier viewing. They’re all delightfully cheesy.

Right now the explosive pen is leading the polls at 40% of the votes, with the earphones second at 37% and the robot last at 22%.
