How to watch tonight’s Google Pixel 3 event

Tonight Google will host its Pixel 3 event in New York.

We have mixed feelings about the event considering Google-branded hardware, apart from the Chromecast, is next to impossible to officially purchase in South Africa. At the same time, we’re always interested to see what the Mountain View-based company has been working on.

As such, we’re assuming that you’re also keen to see what they have in store.

So where can you watch tonight’s Google Pixel 3 event?

On YouTube of course (which is owned by Google), with the Google channel hosting a live stream for the event at 18:00 local time.

You can watch it here, where you can also set a reminder to tune into the live stream. Or you can view it below, as we’ve embedded the live stream video if that’s easier.

As for what you can expect to see, we already know what the Pixel 3 and 3 XL will look like thanks to numerous leaks, but Google is still expected to announce other devices.

Reports suggest a Google Pixel Slate tablet is expected, and we should get updates to the smart speakers and earphones that the company revealed last year.

The big question, however, is whether any of these devices will come to South Africa.

We’re holding thumbs that Google Pixel 3 event will feature the SA flag on the list of countries set to receive the devices, much like Apple did for the iPhone Xs and Xs Max launch.
