Where to watch the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremony

We’re still a ways off of the festive season but for fans of Blizzard games the festivities begin tonight.

We are of course talking about BlizzCon, Blizzard’s annual festival of all things Overwatch, Warcraft and StarCraft.

The event kicks off this evening and if you can’t be there the firm offers players a Virtual Ticket. The Virtual Ticket grants you access to all the panels, original videos.

As a bonus for 2018, Virtual Ticket holders will be able to get access to the World of Warcraft Classic demo along with all the cosmetic items for Blizzard games.

For those that don’t have a Virtual Ticket (which you can still buy here if you’re keen on the above) there is good news.

Blizzard usually streams the opening ceremony on YouTube and this year is no different.

In past years the opening ceremony has served as a way for Blizzard to make announcements for its games and hopefully that holds true for 2018.

The stream kicks off at 19:15 local time and will be available on YouTube. We’ve embedded the stream below.

While we are keen on news about the next Hearthstone expansion, new Heroes of the Storm characters and a World of Warcraft expansion we are hoping for news of a new Diablo game.

Perhaps that’s wishful thinking but with the game now available on most platforms we’re hoping for a new saga in the Diablo series.
