If you like your podcasts chock full of games, phones and, er, discussions about mobile networks operated by banks, well the africast is for you.
Standard Bank Mobile has launched in South Africa and we answer the important questions of “what even is this?” and “who would want it?”.
Next up it’s the new Pokémon games, the obnoxiously-named Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. Despite our worries about this being a watered down experience to draw in the Pokémon Go crowd, we have been pleasantly surprised by what we’ve played after 12 hours and we’re very happy to put in as much more time to complete the journey.
Next is the Honor 8X, a phone in the higher tier of the mid range from Huawei. It’s shaping up to be a great package for the price you’re paying and we’ll hopefully have one to test soon to tell you about it in detail.
Finally it’s the black sheep of the africast as well as the gaming world at the moment as Fallout 76 continues to disappoint. We’ve been grinding through hours in the title and are hoping for the late game to finally redeem it in our eyes, but we doubt that’s going to happen.
