Nintendo offering “Bullet Bill” Black Friday deals in South Africa

Last week Nintendo in the US announced a slew of appealing Black Friday deals. While South Africa won’t be getting those specials, we will be receiving our own discounts themed after the character Bullet Bill.

The local arm of Nintendo is offering up four different bundles each containing the console in its Neon Red / Neon Blue guise together with games, controllers and carry cases.

Unfortunately the very appealing (but very pricey, in South Africa) bundles for the Pokémon Let’s Go games and Diablo III are not discounted here.

That having been said, keep in mind that these deals are only from Nintendo themselves and sold through store.nintendo.co.za or at the Nintendo pop-up store in Sandton City in Northern Johannesburg. Third party retailers will probably moving the Switch at lesser rates today and tomorrow, so check around before you spend your money.

Case in point is Toys R Us – which is still operational in South Africa for the time being – who will be selling the Switch together with a copy of Mario Tennis Aces for R6 500, which beats out every deal here if all you’re looking for is the console with a game to play.

We’ve listed the four available bundles below which can all be bought from this landing page. The deals are live right now and will be available until 25th November or, as these usually go, until stock runs out.

One oddity to note here is that the official advertisement shows off the fact that Fortnite is a free download in the “Banzai Bill Bundle”. The game is, of course, free to download and play on almost every console and smart device you can think of.
