Remastered maps coming to Vermintide 2

Come December players of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be able to revisit three maps from the original game thanks to DLC known as “Back to Ubersreik”.

This is the second piece of DLC to be released for the game following Shadows Over Bögenhafen. Like its predecessor it will be paid content running $9.99 / £6.99 / €7.99.

There doesn’t seem to be a South African price for the DLC right now, but we assume it be the same as that previous installment at R79 on PC and R129 on Xbox One (the game is not yet out on PlayStation 4 though you can sign up for its beta).

Horn of Magnus is the first map that has been remastered and will be added to Vermintide 2. The choices of maps were picked according to playtime in the first game, according to a press release we received. At this time the other two maps have not been revealed.

While new stuff to do in a favourite game is always nice, there is always the concern that rehashing content from past titles doesn’t do much to progress the new game.

That has been addressed by one of the developers who has stated that, while the maps are familiar, they will be used to “continue the Vermintide 2 plot“.

While that is promising, we hope more is added aside from maps. New weapons are always welcome and “a secret surprise” has been promised, so we will need to see what happens next month.
