Venmo now accepted as a payment option on Hulu

There’s a new payment option that’s been added to Hulu’s streaming service – Venmo.

The mobile-only based money sharing and payment app is now supported by Hulu, making that particular streaming service the first in the world to do so.

“Beginning today, if you have a Venmo account, you’ll be able to sign up for a new Hulu account and then pay with Venmo in just a few clicks – no need to pull out your credit card and type in your card number,” explained a Hulu press release on the new payment feature.

Once you’ve signed up for the streaming service, or are already making use of the service, you can set Venmo as one of the payment options, with monthly payments going off from whichever credit card account is linked to Venmo.

Should that selected linked account have insufficient funds, Hulu will instead pull the payment from your primary Venmo payment account.

With Venmo also supported by ride sharing app Uber, and with the mobile payment service accepted from a reported 2 million online retailers, it shouldn’t be long before Venmo becomes more ubiquitous at physical retail locations (we hope).
