Warhammer 40K game soundtracks coming to vinyl in March 2019

As vinyl continues to regain popularity more and more games soundtracks are being pressed, and two Warhammer 40K games will receive this treatment in March of next year.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II and 40,000: Space Marine will have their music turned into vinyl by Laced Records.

Laced has provided the same treatment to dozens of games with Devolver Digital apparently being a particularly favourite publisher to work with. Enter the Gungeon, Hotline Miami, Shadow Warrior 2 and more have all received records of their own.

The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine vinyl has two disks with two sides each and a total of 23 tracks, retailing for $35 / €33.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is a bit beefier with three disks and 31 tracks between its size sides. It will cost more for that extra music however, at $50 / €45.

You can read the full release for this announcement right here, which also includes the complete track listings for each vinyl. We’ve put a few of the product images below to gawk at, as they’re rather pretty. The teal colours of the Dawn of War II version being a favourite here.

If you’re sold on the idea, head on over to the Laced Records website come March to buy your copies.

While we aren’t too into vinyl ourselves, we really hope this invigorates interest in Space Marine. While that game had a lot of problems when it released all the way back in 2011, it’s still a phenomenal experience and our personal favourite Games Workshop title.

The community has been begging for a sequel but, if we’re being realistic, it would have been announced by now if it was ever going to happen.
