Override: Mech City Brawl adds second DLC character – Maestro

Override: Mech City Brawl was a bold new entry into the fighting game genre last year with it’s giant fighters and unique Voltron-esque co-op, and developers Modus Games are still adding content to it.

Maestro is a music-based new character, making it the second such piece of DLC following Stardust in December of 2018.

While Stardust used rainbows and a giant horn drill to fight, Maestro instead relies on three different musical orbs which can damage, debuff or slow down enemies.

You can see Maestro in action with the embedded trailer down below.

When we played Override: Mech City Brawl at launch it left us rather underwhelmed. While we loved the concept and it was fun for a while, it felt very thin on content, especially given the price. It wasn’t compelling enough to keep us playing, and we just didn’t feel the need to put in the extra effort to random people online.

That being said, if you want to try it out yourself it is currently on sale. The game is on sale on PC and PlayStation 4, but oddly enough it looks to still be full price on Xbox One. The Xbox version also doesn’t appear to have Maestro available for download as of yet.

This character costs $3.99 on its own, with its local pricing coming to R69 on both PC and PS4. Alternatively it is included in the “Super Charged Mega Edition” along with Stardust and a bunch of character skins.
