Netflix users can share their latest binge on Instagram Stories

In a bid to improve its mobile experience, Netflix has announced new functionality has been added to its mobile app.

While not as groundbreaking as being able to download movies and series (though you can still do that) it does make letting folks know what you’re watching a bit easier.

As of right now, Netflix subscribers using an iPhone can share what they are watching directly to their Instagram Stories.

As with most stories, sharing what you’re watching will only be visible for 24 hours. Sharing a movie or series from the Netflix app will also provide a “Watch on Netflix” link which directs users to the Netflix app and series/movie title page to learn more.

“We’re always on the lookout for ways to make it easier for members to share the Netflix titles they’re obsessing about and help them discover something new to watch. We hope our members enjoy this new feature,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement.

While the release is limited to iPhone users right now, Netflix says that a release for Android is coming soon. Users will also be able to share what they are watching on Snapchat soon as well.
