It’s a special edition of the africast this week as we have a call in from overseas.
Our man Robin is in Barcelona, Spain for Mobile Word Congress 2019, or as the organisers prefer we call it, simply “MWC 19”.
There he’s got to play with all manner of newly announced devices, some of which will be available to buy in the coming months, others much further than that. The big draw for many have been the new range of fordable devices, but there’s more than that on show.
Next we speak about The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Unlike most of our movie reviews, this one will not be getting the written treatment due to some sound issues we had at our screening. Despite that we still got to enjoy the movie and pass on our recommendation in this podcast.
Circling back to MWC 19, you can read all our coverage of the event on the dedicated subsite. A select few of the stories we mentioned are also available in a list at the bottom of this story.
Oh, and for anyone wondering: yes, the phone cover with LEGO studs is a real, official product that the company sells. The blue one is set 853886, and there’s also a white and grey version in 853797. Unfortunately both only fit a select number of iPhones so you may have to get something third party to fit most other devices.
