Four new Fitbit wearables headed to South Africa

Fitbit has announced that four new wearables will be available in South Africa this April.

The four in question are the Versa Lite Edition, Inspire HR, Inspire and Ace 2.

The Versa Lite Edition (pictured above) is a smartwatch with many of the core features one would find in a full-fat Versa. This includes automatic activity tracking, PurePulse 24/7 heart rate and sleep tracking, more than 15 goal-based exercise modes and more.

The Versa Lite Edition boasts a four day battery life and comes in four colours: white, lilac, mulberry and marina blue. The wearable will be available for R2 999.

Fitbit Inspire HR

As for the Inspire range, the Inspire HR features heart rate tracking (as the name implies), automatic activity tracking and other Fitbit goodies such as guided breathing. The Inspire is slightly lighter on features, you don’t get heart rate tracking for example, but you do get activity and sleep tracking.

The Inspire HR will be available in black, lilac and black and white while the Inspire will only be available in black and sangria. The Inspire HR will retail for R1 999 while the Inspire will carry a price tag of R1 299.

Finally, the Ace 2 is designed for kids aged six and up. It sports a bumper to protect the display from “kid-related activities”. The clock faces have been designed for kids as have the fitness challenges loaded on the device.

The Ace 2 will be available in watermelon with a teal clasp or night sky with a neon yellow clasp for R1 299. The Ace 2 is expected to be available in Winter 2019.
