Fitbit Versa Lite, Inspire and Inspire HR now available to purchase in SA

At the beginning of the month Fitbit revealed a quartet of new fitness focused wearables – the Versa Lite, Inspire, Inspire HR and Ace 2.

Now just three weeks later, three of those devices are now available to purchase in South Africa, with Fitbit noting that the Versa Lite, Inspire and Inspire HR can be be bought from local retailers.

As for the Ace 2, the company says this smartband designed for kids will be landing on our shores later this year, although recommended pricing is unknown at this stage.

Shifting back to the devices that are here, the Versa Lite is a slightly less well specced version of the Fitbit’s smartwatch, that said it still boasts most of the core functions that the larger Versa does.

To that end it has automatic activity tracking, 24 / 7 hearth rate monitoring, as well as sleep monitoring. It also goal-based functionality for around 15 different exercises. The Versa Lite will come in white, lilac and marina blue colour options, and carries an RRP of R2 999.

Moving on to the other two devices, the Inspire and Inspire HR are more stripped down in terms of features and designed to be dedicated trackers. The key difference between these fitness bands is that the HR model can track rates. As for other tracking both variants are able to record information from workouts, as well as sleep.

In terms of colours, the Inspire HR is available in black, lilac and a black / white version, and will retail for roughly R1 999. As for the standard Inspire it comes in black or sangria and costs R1 299.
