HPE and Nutanix partner to bring a hybrid-cloud as a service solution to market

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Nutanix have today jointly announced a partnership which will deliver a hybrid-cloud as a service solution to the global market.

The solution will leverage Nutanix’s Enterprise Cloud OS software together with HPE Greenlake to offer customers a fully HPE-managed hybrid cloud solution. This solution, says HPE, “dramatically lowers total cost of ownership and accelerates time to value.”

“Hundreds of global customers now leverage HPE GreenLake to get the benefits of a cloud experience combined with the security, governance, and application performance of an on-premises environment, while paying for the service based on actual consumption,” president and chief executive officer at HPE, Antonio Neri, said in a statement.

Today, HPE is expanding its leadership in this market by providing an additional choice to customers seeking a hybrid cloud alternative that promises greater agility at lower costs,” Neri added.

The solution will address a number of pressures faced by businesses today. Complex systems requiring massive IT teams to maintain, keeping track of software licenses and concerns about vendor lock-in are all front of mind for many decision makers.

The hybrid-cloud solution being offered by HPE and Nutanix will be fully managed and can be deployed at data centres and co-location facilities.

“Our customers tell us that it’s their applications that matter most. Our partnership with HPE will provide Nutanix customers with another choice to make their infrastructure invisible so they can focus on business-critical apps, not the underlying technology,” founder, chief executive officer and chairman of Nutanix, Dheeraj Pandey said in a statement.

The combination of Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS software and HPE Greenlake as well as the integrated appliance utilising Nutanix software on HPE servers is expected to be available in Q3 2019.
