Missed Star Wars Celebration 2019? Most of it is on YouTube

Once a year Star Wars Celebration comes around to show off all the new properties from the franchise together with many announcements to keep everyone hyped up until it all happens again next year.

2019 was no exception with the event taking place in Chicago over the weekend. Luckily for everyone who couldn’t make it (our excuse was being thousands of kilometres away) you can see hours upon hours of it on YouTube.

The official Star Wars channel has uploaded thirty videos covering Celebration and stuck them into a handy playlist you can watch below.

There are many panels with various people involved in every part of creating Star Wars, individual interviews and that crowd atmosphere for all the exciting reveals.

The biggest moment from the event is one many have seen already, when Ian McDiarmid (who played Sheev Palpatine, the Emporer) says in character “roll it again” referring to the trailer for Episode XI.

You can seen an unofficial clip of that moment here. Aside from it being incredibly endearing, it also looks like McDiarmid was going to drop the mic afterwards.

Before clicking play on the videos below just take note that those 30 videos work out to a more than 26 hours. You’d have to be the most dedicated fan on Earth to sit through all of that, so maybe keep it playing in the background while you get on with other things.

We also highly suggest YouTube’s increased playback speed options, which have recently been expanded for greater custimsation.
