The Acer TravelMate P6 is a road warrior with 20 hours battery life

Earlier today Acer held its annual GPC (Next at Acer) event in New York, and with it unveiled a host of new computing hardware to inspect. Naturally the company’s Predator gaming lineup got most of the attention, but Acer also had some enterprise focused devices to showcase as well.

One such device was the TravelMate P6, and as you can tell by the name this particular notebook is designed for road warriors than plan to use this device while working on the go.

While its looks are fairly low-key, Acer hasn’t held back as far as specifications and must-use features go.

To that end the TravelMate P6 comes in both 14″ and 15.6″ screen sizes, each touting Full HD screen resolutions. Added to this is a choice of either Intel Core 8th Gen i5 or i7 chipsets, as well as up to 16GB DDR4 RAM depending on the model you opt for. There are also a few options in terms of graphics card, with an Intel HD 520, 620 or Nvidia GeForce 940M available.

The biggest feature of the notebook, however, is battery life, with Acer claiming up to 20 hours from a fully charged battery. Under what conditions that is, is unclear, but if it’s medium to heavy use, then the TravelMate P6 could be a great option for those who don’t always have a power point close at hand while working.

At this stage we still need to hear from Acer Africa regarding when the TravelMate P6 will be landing locally, and indeed how much it will cost when does. For now, it’s available Stateside, with recommended pricing starting at $1 149.99 for the lowest specced version.
