— This story contains spoilers for Season 8, Episode 5 of Game of Thrones —

The fifth and penultimate episode of Game of Thrones aired recently and, much like the rest of the season, it has not been received well. But maybe Benny Hill can fix that.

On top of the many complaints and problems with this season of the series, there are some story beats that are comical or completely lacking in sense. Leaning on this is YouTube channel Vinnie The Kielbasa King, which has overlayed some appropriate music to match parts of the episode where King’s Landing is burnt to a crisp.

That music is Yakety Sax, the theme song for Benny Hill and general musical gags to play over any situation which fits the bill, which this one definitely does.

For those who enjoy their humour dark like the carbonised remains of King’s Landing citizens, the screams of the various dragon victims are left in so they’re audible through the jovial song.

This is all very sadistic but we, much like most Game of Thrones fans, are a bit numb to everything now and we need to take the laughs where we can get them. Is this what it’s like to be Bran?

As the video contains a decent chunk of footage from the show, expect it to be taken down at any moment, so get in while you can.

Pro-tip: watch the video at 1.25 or even 1.50 speed to enhance the effect.
