The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is a high-end notebook with a 4K screen & touchpad

When it comes to their ZenBook range, Asus has always tried to push the boundaries. Whether it be with premium materials or components, or trying out different form factors.

Their latest offering, revealed at Computex 2019, is the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo.

What makes this notebook particularly eye-catching, as you can see from the header image above and video below, is that is sports two screens, both running at 4K. This isn’t the first time Asus has dabbled with such a form factor, with HP debuting something similar a couple of weeks ago, but the ZenBook Pro Duo is trying to turn the smaller touchpad-esque screen into a multitasking tool.

To that end, the Asus ScreenPad as they are calling it, will be able to run applications, with the Taiwanese firm aiming it at a wide gamut of users. As such they feel that graphic designers can use the screen for drawing, gamers can use it for live streaming and those in the office can enjoy the added screen real estate.

Whether the feature proves a hit remains to be seen, but Asus is not skimping when it comes to the internal components of the Pro Duo either.

Available in either a 14″ or 15″ model, the Pro Duo will run up to a 9th Gen i9 processor internally, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU.

Sadly no word on precise storage and RAM options, or indeed how much the Pro Duo will cost and where it will be available. With an expected release in the third quarter of 2019, hopefully all of the missing information will be forthcoming.
