Comic Con Africa 2019 nabs Troy Baker and Nolan North

Maybe the two most prolific voice actors in gaming – Troy Baker and Nolan North – will be making their way to South Africa come September as they will both be in attendance for the second Comic Con Africa.

Details about what the pair will be doing at the event are sparse right now. The press release we have received is very short and only seems to mention some of the vast credits both men have.

Seriously, check out the listings for Baker or North. It’s almost comical how many roles both have filled.

If you don’t want to read the lists, Baker is probably best known for voicing Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioSchock Infinite and various characters – including Batman – in a few LEGO games as well as Batman: The Telltale Series.

North voiced Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Desmond Miles in Assassin’s Creed and Deadpool in, well, Deadpool (the 2013 game as well as Marvel Heroes).

Again, we have to stress that those are just a few of the roles each actor has played. It’s a bit of a joke in the gaming industry that the pair – along with Matthew Mercer – voice just about every character you can think of, and they’re the default when it comes to high quality performances.

More details about what the duo will be up will come later, and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know.

While Comic Con Africa 2019 while also be hosting author Donny Cates, the other star attraction will be Anthony Mackie, who was supposed to be in attendance for the inaugural event last year, but had to cancel last-minute due to Hurricane Florence. Mackie should be here later this year, weather permitting.
