Kaspersky Lab invites startups to participate in Kaspersky Open Innovations Program

Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab has launched an initiative in a bid to collaborate with tech startups.

The Kaspersky Open Innovations program invites startups to participate in a challenge put together by Kaspersky Lab and BIBA Venture partners in a bid to expand their potential customer base.

The challenge is designed for startups working on advanced cybersecurity projects in the following areas:

  • Transportation
  • Industrial Internet of Things
  • Anti-fraud
  • Blockchain

“We are pleased to invite groundbreaking startups to participate in our challenge. It is a tremendous opportunity for growing businesses to develop their projects and conquer the global market. As an international cybersecurity vendor, we are interested in creating advanced solutions that satisfy the needs of different industries,” head of verification at Kaspersky Lab, Vitaly Mzokov, said in a statement.

“By integrating the best solutions with our technologies, we aim to combine and maximise values for the corporate cybersecurity strategies of customers and prospects. Kaspersky Lab scouts, validates, nurtures and enhances the most advanced and disruptive technologies to support the digital transformation of our clients,” Mzokov added.

Startups which participate in the challenge will need to show how their solutions solve cybersecurity use cases. During the selection process, experts will assess the firm’s readiness to rapidly develop their business and interest in collaborating with Kaspersky Lab.

The challenge will conclude with a Demo Day on 19th September in Milan, Italy. Selected startups will be invited to present their projects which will be assessed by a panel of experts.

Once again, the Kaspersky Open Innovations Program is best suited for established firms or late-stage startups that have a legal entity, product or prototype.
