Takealot adds more beauty products to its platforms

Takealot and Superbalist have now extended their offerings to include luxury beauty brands for their South African online shoppers.

This is in line with the group’s recent desire to allow South Africans to shop for anything they can imagine, including skin care, hair care, makeup and grooming products.

According to IT News Africa, both sites will now include Estée Lauder, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Glamglow, Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, Aramis and Lab Series, while Superbalist will add MAC Cosmetics and Micheal Kors products.

“Locally we are seeing strong growth across the category. It is clear that South Africans enjoy indulging in quality when it comes to beauty products,” said chief marketing officer at Takealot, Jilie-Anne Walsh.

“We have taken care to partner with the best brands in the beauty space, so we are really excited with the diversity and quality we are offering,” added co-CEO of Superbalist, Luke Jedeikin.

Furthermore IT News Africa notes that since Superbalist merged with Spree in 2018, they have rapidly expanded their offerings in the fast fashion space, and adding beauty products should be popular with shoppers.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, the additions come at just the right time.
