Vox launches firewall service specially designed for SMEs

Just like enterprises, small businesses face their fair share of cyber crime as well.

The trouble for an SME is that, unlike a larger enterprise, it might not be able to afford solutions that do well to keep the bad guys out while minimising disruption to business processes.

In a bid to address this, Vox has launched a managed Firewall Service specifically designed to cater to the needs of SMEs.

“We have customised a Fortinet solution so that it can be made available at a competitive price point to smaller businesses. They will now have access to best of breed technology from a global company that is at the forefront of innovation in cyber security,” executive head for cloud and managed services at Vox, Craig Freer said.

The solution gives SMEs access to some of the best firewall technologies out there while also not requiring in-house experts to set and enforce security policies and procedures.

Of course, a company can opt to have those experts in house but Vox offers the firewall service as a managed service. This means that Vox will insure that certified firewall engineers set up policies that are correct, comprehensive and well enforced.

“Apart from just monitoring for, and protecting an organisation from external cyber threats, a well-monitored firewall will also help better manage network usage and data consumption, which is especially vital for small businesses that often have to make do with connections that offer lesser bandwidth,” adds Freer.

To find out more about Vox’s Firewall Service and determine whether it will work for your business it might we worth taking a gander at the Vox website for more information.
