Samsung’s new 13″ & 15″ Notebook 7 look a lot like a MacBook

Later this evening Apple will kick off their WWDC 2019 developers conference and, while the focus will be on software, there is also some hardware expected. We mention the event as Samsung’s latest pair of Notebook 7 devices look an awful lot like the MacBook Pros we’ve seen in recent years.

The two new devices – the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force as they’ve been dubbed – feature a familiar looking unibody design that we’ve spotted on previous MacBook offerings, and even has a similar looking keyboard layout.

Apart from that though, the comparisons end, with the new range coming in either silver or black, as well as four different models of internal specification, and of course running Windows 10 as the native operating system.

As for the aforementioned specifications, the Notebook 7 13 has a 13.3″ (1  920  X 1  080) screen, with the 15 model sporting a 15.6″ FullHD variant. Of the four different models on offer, each will feature an 8th Gen Intel Core processor, along with three of the flavours getting up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and up to 512GB SSDs on board.

We mention three flavours as Samsung also has a slightly beefed up model in the form of the Notebook 7 Force. It’s a 15″ device and ups the ante in terms of graphics card and RAM on offer, with the latter being up to 24GB and the former an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU.

At this stage the local availability of the Notebook 7 range is unknown, but the Force edition certainly costs MacBook Pro money, costing $1 499 Stateside. Looking at the specifications though, we don’t think MacBook owners have too much to worry about. Nevertheless the Notebook 7 looks a tidy Windows 10 device.
