Sage welcomes 50 interns to its Internship Programme

This week, Sage announced that it has launched its Internship Programme for 2019.

According to Sage, it has taken on 50 interns to its South African operation. The internship will run for 12 months offering the young professionals an opportunity to apply their education in a real-world of work setting.

“The programme is in line with our transformation and people strategy, to support skills development, employment equity and address youth unemployment in South Africa,” said Sage’s transformation director in Africa and Middle East, Faith Ramusetheli.

The company adds that the young professionals will be placed in different areas of the business. These areas include; Customer service, Customer for Life, Legal, Marketing, IT, Product delivery, Partners and Alliances, HR and Transformation.

Furthermore Sage says that the aim of the internship is to focus on developing life skills, work readiness, workplace mentorship and coaching and to develop workplace knowledge and experience.

“We are excited by the calibre of the graduates participating in this programme, and the impact that we will be making to the lives of these young people and grow the economy by developing the workforce of the future,” concluded Ramusetheli.
