LG touting a new second-screen flagship for debut at IFA 2019

While most of the attention this week is focused solely on Samsung and the Galaxy Note 10, in a few weeks time we’ll need to zero in on Berlin with IFA 2019 on the horizon. One of the companies aiming to make an impression is LG, with the South Korean manufacturer releasing a new video today teasing what it has in store for IFA next month.

To that end it looks as if LG will be sticking with its second-screen strategy when it comes to offering consumers more screen real estate.

The firm did so at MWC 19 earlier this year, opting for a second-screen accessory on the 5G supporting V50 ThinQ. It also appears as if gaming will be a focus of the forthcoming device and second screen, if the video below is anything to go by.

With both Samsung and Huawei stalling in getting foldable devices into the market after debuting at the beginning of the year, perhaps LG’s wait and see approach is not such a bad move.

That said, with fewer devices seemingly entering the market of late, it remains to be seen whether South African consumers will see the new device, rumoured to be the V60 ThinQ, and its second-screen accessory.

With a few weeks to go until IFA 2019, we’re sure LG will share a few more details about the device in the interim, as well as how it plans to make the most of the second-screen.

LG’s IFA 2019 event is scheduled for 6th September, with it scheduled to start at 10:00 local time.
