Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lands in SA on 30th August for R18 999

As expected, Samsung has this evening announced its latest addition to the long standing Note series although this time fans will have two versions of the device to choose from.

The rumours were right and Samsung did indeed announce both a 6.3inch device as well as tablet-esque 6.8inch smartphone.

Samsung South Africa has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will be available locally from 30th August.

Pricing for the Galaxy Note 10 starts at R18 999 and the Galaxy Note 10+ will fetch an eye-watering R22 999 or more.

But what do you get for your money?

First up the cameras.

At the back of the Note 10 series you will find a triple lens affair. The three sensors include two 12MP and one 16MP sensor. The Note 10+ also houses a VGA DepthVision camera.

Up front is a 10MP front facing camera.

As for the technical details, the Galaxy Note 10 will be running Samsung’s Exynos 9825 paired with up to 12GB of memory.

Storage wise you are looking at 256GB. There is a 512GB version but its unclear whether this will be available in South Africa.

The S-Pen also has some new functionality with Air Action. This allows you to control your handset from a distance using gestures such as swiping left and right to navigate your gallery.

While the handsets do boast massive displays we are quite comfortable holding this massive device.

That having been said we’re still getting to grips with the Galaxy Note 10 and will have more information as Unpacked continues.
