Apple may debut iPhone 11 at event on 10th September

In this week’s mandatory iPhone story, Apple may be ready to unveil the iPhone 11 at an event scheduled for 10th September.

At this stage the Cupertino-based firm has not formally announced a date, but some sleuths over at iHelp BR spotted a potential hint at an event in the beta version of iOS 13. Said beta, number seven for those keeping track, recently got ported to developers, with the version of the software featuring an image that says “HoldForRelease”. It also has 10th September marked in the calendar.

As The Verge points out, this method is a fairly common practice for Apple when readying to reveal a new device, and as such is likely when the firm will debut its latest iPhone offering.

Adding credence to that, is the fact that Apple reserves September for its second big press conference of the year, with the iPhone usually present.

As for what kinds of devices we could see next month, it’s being reported by Twitter user CoinX that Apple will forego the X naming convention and opt for 11 instead. Added to this is a rumoured “Pro” model. As such we could see three devices surface from Apple, with an iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max being suggested.

Whether or not that is indeed true, remains to be seen, but Apple has opted for a trio of iPhone devices per event in recent years. With Huawei also anticipated to reveal its Mate 30 series later that month, it should be interesting to see which option proves the more tempting.
