SATNAC 2019 to explore the changing telecommunications sector

The Southern Africa Telecommunications Networks and Applications Conference (SATNAC) kicks off next month and this year the conference will take place in Ballito, Durban.

The annual conference sees industry leaders, academics and experts in the ICT sector gather to discuss trends and more concerning the ICT and telecommunications sector.

This year’s conference will examine the changing requirements of the telco sector and the infrastructure South Africa needs to address these changes.

“We must ensure that telecommunication companies have the networks, mechanisms and systems to deal with this changing world,” conference chairman, Alphonzo Samuels, said in a statement.

“The changes in telcos requires investment in high-value skills, technology, and advanced ICT infrastructure,” added Samuels.

As many as 400 delegates are expected to attend the conference between 1st and 4th September. Among the attendees are folks from Telkom’s Centres of Excellence.

Registration for the event is still open and while tickets can get rather pricey, SATNAC really is the place to be if you are working within the telco and ICT sectors.

As mentioned SATNAC takes place from 1st to 4th September 2019 at Fairmont Zimbali Resort in Ballito.
