Earlier this month PlayStation unveiled four new variants of its Dualshock 4 controllers, all of which will be available in South Africa next month.

Dubbed the “New Fall Colors” these additions to the controller lineup may not be for everyone, but the choice to get one of the these colours locally is what’s important here.

At the time of writing we can find only two retailers offering pre-orders of the controllers in Raru and Loot.

Both retailers have the controllers listed for a 30th September release date, but they differ slightly in price. Raru’s price is what we mention in the headline at R1 149 while Loot is slightly more expensive at R1 159.

We’re sure most people have their reasons for shopping at either outlet but we do recommend going with Loot on this one. Raru has failed to honour sales in the past, something you can read more about here.

Regardless, we’ll provide links to both below:

It’s also worth noting that Raru has these controllers listed as “Limited Edition Colours”, while Loot has them listed as any other controller with this simply being another colour variant.

We don’t know what this means for future stock of these colours, but it may mean that you need to pick one up soon if you’ve been eyeing any of the colours since the announcement.

As for local pricing it’s exactly in line with what you’d expect to pay for something like this, with maybe a R100 difference (compared to similar controllers) depending on some small sales going on on either site.
