What PlayStation SA has planned for Comic Con Africa this long weekend

We’re only a couple of days away from Comic Con Africa 2019, and the four-day long event (21st September to 24th September) is promising to be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural event.

The focus for the event is not simply comic books, movies and pop culture either, with large sections of the Gallagher Convention Centre (new venue) dedicated to gaming. To that end one of the companies aiming to impress this long weekend is PlayStation South Africa, with it noting a number of different activities and areas planned for Comic Con Africa 2019.

So here’s what PlayStation SA has planned, with a dedicated stand being found in the gaming and tech hall (hall 3) of the Convention Centre.

As always there will be a PS4 games area. Here you’ll have the opportunity to play titles like Concrete Genie, MediEvil, Dreams, Nioh 2, PES 2020, BEE Simulator and a host of racing and sports games.

There’ll also be a section dedicated for PlayStation VR. In terms of the VR titles on offer,  visitors will be able to experience Marvel’s Iron Man VR, Blood and Truth, Beast Sabre, Wolfenstein Cyberpilot and a few more.

Lastly, there’s going to be a PS Plus gaming lounge which will serve up some of the well-known titles that are available on the subscription-based gaming platform.

That is what’s planned on the gameplay side, but PlayStation SA is partnering with Comic Con Africa for a Death Stranding competition.

Here attendees will have the opportunity to take part in creating a Death Stranding Mural.

Anyone who does join in on the mural stands to win prizes including a copy of Death Stranding at launch (8th November), PlayStation games to the value of R5 000 and an A1 Death Stranding poster. A winner will be selected daily between 21st and 24th September via social media, so check in with PlayStation SA’s various accounts to stay up to date.
