With 4IR on the horizon and an intensified focus on STEM skills locally, the need for the development of coding skills has never been greater. One of the South African companies helping to deliver these skills is HyperionDev, with the firm now serving up a notable opportunity this month.
During October, HyperionDev will be accepting entries for anyone in South Africa interested in coding, with the chance to be chosen in one of three full coding scholarships to the tune of R45 000.
“Few industries offer job security like a career in coding,” says Riaz Moola, founder and CEO of HyperionDev. “This is a result of the global tech skills gap, and the ever-growing demand for industry expert coders,” he adds.
The #CodeWithChange initiative as it is being called, is specifically looking for would-be coders with great ideas they plan to implement following their training.
If you’re interested in entering to potentially win one of the scholarships, there are three steps you need to follow:
Step Two – Explain your idea, whether it be a drawing, a video or an outline of your idea in writing. Most importantly, the company says you need to communicate your idea as clearly as possible.
Step Three – Tag HyperionDev in on your post with @HyperionDev and remember to include the hashtag #ChangeWithCode.
The three winners will then be chosen at the end of the month.
Should you not be one of the lucky three, you can still check out what HyperionDev has to offer, with it featuring three to six-month coding bootcamps in three different qualifications. They can also be done full or part-time either at HyperionDev’s Cape Town or Johannesburg campuses or online.
